School is starting again, and it’s a great time to remember children around the world who won’t be attending the same school this year because they have been displaced from their homes due to conflict in their country. Funds collected this year through My Coins Count will support MCC refugee projects.
Refugees from countries like South Sudan, Syria, and Colombia receive food, comforters, soap, and school supplies from MCC to help meet their basic needs. Begin collecting coins each Sunday to bring to the Oregon Mennonite Festival for World Relief on October 8. Let’s help remind refugees that people around the world are thinking about them and welcome them. ■
