![]() Enjoy crafts or spending time in the kitchen? Are you skilled at making soap, jewelry, or candles? You can put your talents to work this summer for MCC! Best sellers in the Country Store are usually wearables and consumables such as fresh garden produce, peppernuts, granola, noodles, dried fruits, dried flowers, and new handcrafted items such as knitted dishcloths. (Decorating items do not tend to sell as well, and because of health regulations, the festival cannot sell home-canned foods.) To learn how you can help, contact Denise Diller, 541-704-0451, markdenised@hotmail.com. There’s still time to create a Quilt Challenge wall hanging: items no bigger than 22 inches in one dimension. Info about the challenge, which will raise funds for MCC water projects, is on the festival website under “2014 Quilts” or contact Margery Barkman, 503-266-7854, msbarkman@canby.com. If you’re sorting through your sewing and crafting supplies this summer, please consider donating extra items to Marta’s Haus: fabric, sewing notions, yarn, craft materials, quilt and craft books and magazines, even unfinished projects. To donate, contact Julie Miller (541-740-7669) or deliver to Fairview Mennonite Church in Albany (541-928-1067). Donations need to be received by the end of September for pricing. ■
